Misères de la Guerre, by Jacques Callot. Published in Paris by Israel Henriet, in 1636.

Jacques Callot (1592-1635), was a baroque print maker from Nancy in the Duchy de Lorraine region of France. An important figure in the development of old master prints, he made more than 1,400 etchings depicting lives of soldiers, clowns, beggars, drunkards, as well as of the court.

2nd State complete set of six prints with excellent impression on laid paper with watermark. Copperplate etchings with Israel Henriet address. Sold as is.
