Five original etchings with title page by Jean Baptiste Le Prince, published in 1765.

Le Prince (1734-1781) was an important etcher and painter of the 18th century, and was leading student of Francois Boucher. He traveled to Russia in 1758, spent five years and also traveled extensively throughout Livonia, Siberia and Finland. He brought extensive drawings back to Paris, for the etching series Diverses Vues de la Livonie.

Approximately 3” x 5”

Prints 3, 4, and 5 bear watermarks. Print 5 is second state, print 6 is third state. All others are a singular state. Good strong impressions on laid paper. Sold as is.
