Johann Georg Heck (born 1795 in Strasbourg; died November 20, 1857 in Leipzig) was a German publisher, lithographer , cartographer , geographer and author. He became known through his work Picture Atlas for Conversations Lexicon. Iconographic encyclopedia of the sciences and arts , which, along with Meyer's Universum, is one of the most extensive German-language works of the 19th century.
